Needle rollers provide increased load capacity, and without an inner race, they’re extremely thin and economical. Also known as drawn-cup bearings, the shell is drawn out to form a lip that holds the bearing together. Bearings are lubricated for life. Use these bearings on hardened and ground shafts. All are slightly oversized for a snug fit; press fit to install. Drawn cup needle roller bearings have a drawn outer shell serving as a raceway for the rollers and are installed with a press fit in the housing.
They are ideal for many of the following applications: transmissions, transfer cases, engines, valve trains, steering and braking systems, axle supports, outboard engines, textile industry, power tools, copiers, fax machines, paper-moving equipment, and appliances. Temperature range is –13° to 250° F for open bearings; –4° to 212° F for sealed bearings.
